Rodarte Spring/Summer 2012, New York Fashion Week

THE Mulleavy sisters confided in an interview that they were influenced by  Disney film, Sleeping Beauty, and that they were fascinated by the colours they'd used and they both felt there was a correlation between that and the work of Van Gogh.
The label's new collection, feature artistic sunflowers and starry night prints , the dresses are painted by  bucolic countryside and famous sunflower paintings of the artist Vincent van Gogh , printed on undulating , floaty tiers of fabric in satin and silk chiffons.
