Proenza Schouler Spring/Summer 2012 R-T-W New York Fashion Week - A sartorial trip halfway between 1970's and Hawaii

Proenza Schouler's Spring 2012 collection's component parts were graphic floral prints, nylon jersey jacket, eelskin skirts that strode down the shag-carpeted runway , swimwear-esque bodysuits, tightly woven raffia dresses reminiscent of hula skirts, clever abstract colour blocking.
the colors palette: Black, white, mustard, lime green, teal, peppermint and marigold, coral.
Prints and colours were decidedly retro mixed with modern shapes and feline in their strict tailoring, sure to show off the curves of a woman.
Key trend: seventies, bodysuits,  graphic prints,A-line skirt and rafia dresses.
