Alberta Ferretti RTW Spring 2012, Milan Fashion Week - tribal prints mixed with ethereal goddess style

A more modern collection less girly with a 20s vibe with drop-waist dresses with pearl embroidery  or larger white beads that gave them a more urban jungle motif with an emphasis on African references.
Geometric silk fragments were embroidered onto sheer tulle to create graphic theme and full dresses were constructed out of crocheted beads.
Light-as-air fabrics, floral wood block print appeared on draped dresses and safari blouses, silk tunics, pyjama style suits of black or ochre with

chiffon strips criss-crossed around them, crochet pencil skirt in bold stripes of red, brown and black, the collection finished with black dresses  with heavily beaded uppers and lacy patchworks to the floor, carried with handbags that had long fringes noisily dragging behind them.
Love the models towel-dried hair style.
