Florence Welch as the new inspiration behind Gucci A/W 2011 campaign

To celebrate their 90th birthday, Gucci turned to Florence Welch as their next muse.
Speaking to Dazed Digital Frida Giannini explains why she was inspired by the flame-haired songstress for Gucci's A/W 2011 womenswear collection. :
"As I was imagining this collection I was thinking of a strong and somewhat mysterious muse. Florence is that kind of woman. I met her in Los Angeles at this year's Grammys and was captivated by her presence. She has a powerful personality and an entrancing quality to her performances. She also has that confident and self assured look that goes hand in hand with the Gucci woman."
It's only natural now the news that Gucci will dress Welch for the Florence & The Machine's Summer tour of the U.S
Besides using Welch as the inspiration behind Gucci's A/W 2011 collection, the Frida Giannini admits that she also set her show to one of her songs, "Hurricane Drunk"

. PEOPLE reports that Frida Giannini has created the singer's tour wardrobe which consists of ethereal gowns which will allow lots of movement on stage.
"When Florence first came onto the scene, I was captivated by her eccentric style and her willingness to dare," Giannini says in a release. "I felt there was such an authentic energy to her sound and her look. That was confirmed when I met her at the Grammys earlier this year."
Meanwhile, Florence says: that she is completely bowled over by her collection and that she can't wait to get dressed for the stage!"...I envy her...
