Carolina Herrera RTW Spring 2012 New York Fashion week - Art Deco

Carolina Herrerava for her Spring collection gives equal importance to the line, the embellishment and the colors palette that took inspiration from the antique Bakelite bangles that accessorized many of the looks à la Nancy Cunard -  jade greens, canary yellows, lipstick reds, and the graphic play of black and white.
The line are structured , geometric and minimalistic , thin blocks of stripes in yellow, green and black ,  embroideries and appliqués in various geometric shapes.
But she surprised  also with charming sparrow print.
I'm sure a lot of her evening gowns embellished with Art Deco embroideries will be chosen for the Red Carpet Look!
